Monday May 26th is Memorial Day, but more importantly it the National Day Of Remembrance. It is a time for us as Americans to take a moment and reflect of the sacrifices that the men and women of our armed forced have made and continue to make each and every day that they are out there fighting for the freedoms that we as Americans enjoy. Beginning at 2:00 PM EST Star-FM will kick off a 2 hour broadcast to honor The National Day Of  Remembrance . We will have great music lined up, some commentary by our 2 staff DJ's from the "Oldies Invasion Show" which are CJ and Lace. We might even bring in "Miss Kitty" from our sister station, 959 The Outlaw, which is currently down due to technical difficulties. At 3:00 pm we will pause for a moment of silence for every one to reflect and say any prayers they would like, and then continue the festivities until we wrap it up at 4pm.

One thing we would like to do to honor our vets as well as those that have fallen in battle is to read on the air the names of those people who have been submitted to us by their families.
